Georgetown "Movin To Wellness" Program

Since 2010, a total amount of $24,772.60 has been raised by local athletes, to support people living with Parkinson's

Donation 2017, $2350.00

This amount was raised from a Zumbathon, Raffle, Auction and Volunteering at the Austin 70.3 Ironman

Georgetown Triathletes took over the organization of the race "Pick Up Your Feet 5K"

This year we decided that we would like the money raised to go back to the local community and with the help of Chrisy Herff, we were able to set up the Movin to Wellness Program in Georgetown.

Donation 2011, $7,500 

The second check, again was donated to the Michael J Fox Foundation via the Georgetown Running Club and from the 5K race.  

Tony Kaupas was very instrumental in finding sponsors for the race and in particular one major sponsor "ILE DESiGNS"

Christine Knight was the Race Director and still an active board member of Georgetown Running Club

Donation 2010, $5,112.60

The was the first check that was donated to the program, it was originally given to the Michael J Fox Foundation via the Georgetown Running Club

The money was raised by organizing  a 5k, called "Pick Up Your Feet for Parkinson's"
